Submissions of visual art and photography along with digital art, ceramics, sculpture, moving image and music are invited. These can be new or existing works.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: Midnight 31st January, although please note that we will be reviewing and accepting works as they are received, so don't delay in sending your submission/s.

Submission information and guidance is listed below - PLEASE FOLLOW OUR GUIDANCE CAREFULLY - your submission may not be considered if you do not provide the information required, or other than in the way it is requested.

  • It is free to submit artwork for consideration

  • Submissions can be new or existing works

  • You must articulate how your work relates to the exhibition theme "What Is Love?"

  • Selected artists will be charged a fee of £60 per work for the duration of the exhibition (10th to 26th February) (irrespective of size), and 15% commission is charged on all sales during the exhibition

  • Fees are payable upon confirmation from us that a submission has been successful, when we will send artists an invoice

  • There is a limit of two works per selected artist, but artists can submit up to five works for consideration

  • Submissions do not have to be available to buy

  • Two dimensional works must be supplied to the gallery 'ready to hang' - ie with d-rings and string already attached. We reserve the right to refuse delivery of works that are not hang-ready

  • FRAMING SERVICE - our gallery is supported by the excellent Blue House Framer, who will offer participating artists a 10% discount on framing services. Please contact Donny aka The Blue House Framer directly to discuss. The 10% discount is only eligible for artists that have works selected for inclusion in the exhibiiton

  • Two dimensional works must not exceed 100cm in height or width, including any frame

  • Two dimensional works must be original works or signed/numbered limited edition prints

  • All successful artists are asked to supply us with (no more than 10) prints of their work (if applicable), which will be available for sale during the period of the exhibition. Let us know if this is an issue

  • Prints supplied by successful artists should be "sale ready" for display in our print racks

  • Three dimensional works must not exceed 60cm in width. There is no height restriction (within reason - we have over 3m eaves height in the gallery), but if the dimensions and form of the work mean that there is more than a very low risk of it being toppled, we will require artists to advise how they propose to secure it

  • Digital works are invited and will be displayed by screens mounted within our gallery or projected onto gallery walls

  • Delivery of works: artists will be advised by email of the arrangements for delivery of artwork to the gallery - this will usually be 2/3 days prior to the launch of an exhibition

  • Collection of works: artists MUST be willing and able to collect their works (if unsold) on Monday 27th or Tuesday 28th February, from 12pm to 8pm. We do not have capacity to store works beyond this date and works may be disposed of or ceremoniously sacrificed if not collected. We do not want to do this to your work, so please come and collect it on the dates given!

  • Gallery opening hours during curated exhibitions are:

    • Monday:        closed

    • Tuesday:        closed

    • Wednesday:   1pm to 7pm
